Song of the Sea:
Booking Terms & Conditions

Tuesday, July 6th - Monday, July 12th, 2027
The Song House
Donegal, Ireland

Payment Terms & Conditions:

  • Your spot is confirmed upon receiving a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total retreat fee. Once your registration form is received, Mila will send you details to pay by e-transfer, credit card, or cash (for local folks).

  • The remaining balance of 75% will be due by February 1, 2027.

  • This retreat will be an intimate group of 14 participants. We will require a minimum of 10 bookings to go ahead. This will be confirmed as soon as possible, but no later than February 1, 2027. Please wait to book your flights until then.

Cancellation & Refund Policy:

  • Payment for this retreat is non-refundable. Due to the substantial costs involved in organizing and hosting this retreat, this policy creates stability for the retreat host, our team, and The Song House.

  • Until February 1st, registrations may be transferred to another participant if a replacement is available (for example, from a waitlist or through the participant’s own referral). In this case, the original participant will be refunded their payment minus a $50 administrative fee, once the replacement registration is confirmed and payment is received.

  • Participants are highly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes emergency medical coverage AND trip cancellation coverage. Cancellation insurance allows you to be reimbursed for BOTH your prepaid travel expenses and the retreat fee, if you need to cancel your trip.

  • In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the host, all registered participants will receive a full refund.

Participation & Accessibility:

  • Each participant will be required to participate in the full duration of the 7-day retreat. Because this retreat is cumulative and community-based, late arrivals and early departures are discouraged - except in cases of illness or emergencies.

  • Participants are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport and meet all applicable entry requirements for Ireland, and any country through which they travel.

  • Participants will need access to WhatsApp for the duration of the retreat. This platform will be used to share important announcements, retreat resources, and optional ongoing connection with the community following the retreat.

  • The Song House and some of the activities included in this retreat involve uneven terrain, stairs and/or outdoor walking, and the retreat is not suitable for wheelchair users. If you have mobility, accessibility or other participation needs, please contact Mila before booking so that we can discuss the specific environment and activities, and determine whether the retreat can accommodate your needs.

Health & Wellness Agreements:

  • Group singing and shared indoor accommodation involve an inherent risk of transmission of respiratory illnesses, including influenza, COVID-19 and other infections. While we will take reasonable measures to support a healthy environment, we cannot guarantee that participants will not become ill during the retreat. By attending this retreat, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent health risks associated with group activities and shared indoor spaces.

  • If a participant becomes ill during the retreat, we encourage them to consider masking, reducing close contact, or taking additional precautions as needed. We will not require COVID testing during the retreat.

Photo & Video:

  • During the retreat, we may occasionally take photographs, video, or audio recordings for documentation, educational, and promotional purposes. All materials will be taken and used respectfully.

  • By participating in the retreat, you acknowledge that you may appear in these materials. If you do not wish to be included in photos or recordings, please let us know in advance or speak with our team at the beginning of the retreat, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
