One-on-One Song Leader Mentorship
Are you feeling called to lead songs in your community - but unsure where to begin?
Or perhaps you’re already leading songs, but longing for more confidence, clarity, or support along the way.
This one-on-one mentorship is a space for you. Whether you're just starting out or have been leading songs for years, these sessions are designed to meet you exactly where you are. Together, we’ll explore the practical skills, inner confidence, and deep listening that song-leading asks of us.
This is not about becoming a “perfect” leader.
It’s about embodying your unique essence as a leader becoming a more authentic one.
Each session is collaborative, supportive, and tailored to your specific goals and questions. You are encouraged to bring real-life situations, challenges, or dreams into our work together.
In our time together, we might explore:
Building confidence in your voice and presence
Learning and teaching songs in the oral tradition
How to start (or grow) a Community Singing group
Holding and facilitating inclusive and welcoming spaces for all voices
How to choose songs for specific groups, situations, and moments
Designing the flow and pace of your Community Singing session
How to integrate group singing into your current work and the spaces you hold
Navigating nerves, self-doubt, or imposter feelings
Developing your own unique leadership style
Building a sustainable offering: the business of song leading
Practice! Have the opportunity to lead a song with me, and receive constructive feedback
This mentorship is well-suited for:
Emerging song leaders who are seeking foundational skills and guidance
Experienced song leaders who are looking to refine or expand their approach
Educators, facilitators, and community organizers who are integrating group singing into their work
Individuals who are interested in cultivating inclusive, participatory singing spaces
At its heart, this work is about connection - to your voice, to others, and to something larger that moves through song.
This mentorship is for you if:
You feel a pull toward song-leading but don’t know where to start
You want guidance, encouragement, and honest feedback
You’re seeking a deeper connection to your voice and leadership
You value community, care, and authenticity in your practice

A Note on Group Singing
As a complement to our coaching sessions, singing with others in a group can be a great opportunity to explore your voice in a communal setting. I hold seasonal Singing from the Well retreats, Reclaim Your Voice workshops, and a Singing in Bloom summer gathering, which are all women-centred spaces. I also co-facilitate an annual Communal Grief Retreat, for all genders.
Since ancient times, women have gathered together to sing songs. There is an enduring magic that happens when women sing together – through the weaving of our voices, we remember our power, our rhythm, and our purpose.
